Strike Authorization Vote: Online on 12/4-5
With the upcoming changes in the federal government and the associated uncertainty, we cannot afford to wait. Caltech Postdocs and Graduate Student Workers need a strong, ratified contract NOW. Our bargaining team may call for a strike if circumstances continue to justify next year.
1. Caltech administration has not responded to our bargaining teams’ proposals on wage increases and lowered healthcare costs.
2. They’re also resistant to giving international scholars paid leave for visa renewals and reimbursements for immigration-related costs.
One voice might be ignored, but they cannot ignore thousands of us standing together.
